At P3, we know you want to get back to doing what you enjoy. However, you want to do it safely. That’s why we conduct an in-depth assessment that consists of either a (1) physical therapy evaluation; (2) CrossFit mobility assessment; or (3) telehealth evaluation to aid in making an accurate diagnosis. As part of your overall evaluation, we employ a differential diagnosis process. This pinpoints how the pain you are experiencing manifests in your specific situation. This allows us to provide you with an individualized treatment plan. Additionally, it lets you get back to life quicker and safer.

We also understand that your body has healing properties. When people come into our office with neck or shoulder pain, or maybe a CrossFit injury, we use our varied treatment methods to complement the body’s natural healing abilities. In treating our patients, we frequently combine a variety of methods to make treatment more successful.

  • Corrective Exercise– Corrective exercise is performed in our office and at home for pain management. The exercises aim to strengthen the weakened areas in your muscles and joints that are contributing to your pain. Corrective exercise helps to increase range of motion and reduces joint stiffness. When used with other methods, some of the conditions it is effective for are headaches, back pain, tennis elbow, and sciatica.
  • Joint Manipulation– This technique allows a therapist to use specific movements to alleviate pain caused by stiff, painful joints. This therapy helps to improve range of motion and relieve pain. Combining joint manipulation with other approaches is useful. It addresses issues like pain associated with hip impingement, slipped ribs, and plantar fasciitis.
  • Cupping Therapy– Cupping is a treatment that is popular with athletes because it is beneficial for a variety of sports injuries. The procedure involves attaching inverted cups to specific areas of the body. The vacuum effect produced by the cups increases blood flow and decreases pain and muscle tension. As with other methods, optimal results with cupping are achieved in combination with other approaches. Specifically, cupping therapy assists the body in healing frozen shoulder, back pain, knee pain, and neck pain.
  • Dry Needling– This approach uses thin needles to target knots in the muscles that may be causing pain or other symptoms in the body. By addressing myofascial (muscle) pain, dry needling can, along with other methods, increase joint mobility, and muscle flexibility. Muscle knots causing jaw pain, disc herniations, or rotator cuff pain can benefit from this technique.

Here is what patients are saying about our physical therapy near Lancaster, Ohio:

I am a middle aged woman who wanted to get in shape and lose weight. I started CrossFit training. I was limited to what I could do partly because of all the pain I have experienced for years with my back, knees, and hips. Two separate trainers told me to go see Dr Andrew. I was skeptical because I have been to see many different doctors, physical therapists, etc but I made the appointment. I'm so thankful and glad I did. Dr Drew is amazing!! I've never had anyone actually help me. I honestly didn't think it could be done because of all the years I had suffered with the pain. I couldn't walk up and down stairs without being in pain! I had to wear knee braces every day. Now, I have no more pain!! NO MORE PAIN! And, bonus, he's super nice, very thorough, knows what he's doing (amazing!). I highly recommend Dr Drew if you are serious about feeling better.

I had been struggling for several months with hip pain after running. It got to the point that I could no longer run without having extreme pain. I tried chiropractic care and another physical therapist with no relief at all. I even had a medical provider suggest the only option for relief would be injections. Luckily, a friend recommended I check out P3. My entire experience with P3 was different from any place I had tried before; from their in-depth assessment(s) to actually keeping me running while in treatment. My injury was tricky and took some time to pinpoint exactly where to focus treatment but Cody never gave up! He remained persistent and optimistic, even when I thought all hope was lost and was worried that I may never run again. It took some time but I can happily say I am now back to running pain free again! I am forever grateful for the team at P3 and cannot recommend them enough. THANK YOU!

Dr. Cody was fantastic working with my son after a ACL repair and meniscus tear. He helped my son to gain stability and strength while still competing in club soccer without missing any games. Highly recommend for sports specific recovery!

Dr. Billings was great! He took the time to listen to my concerns about my foot pain and how it was affecting my running. He evaluated me and was confident he could help. I am running better and the foot pain is greatly diminished. He helped me understand what was going on inside my foot and how to strengthen my foot and related leg muscles. I am doing workouts in my own now, but know I can reach back with any questions or issues.

Dealing with pain and an injury that gets in your way is no fun. At times it can seem like you will never regain your former level of performance. And you may be frustrated because drugs or surgery are the only solutions you have been offered.
