The Straight-Talk Physio Podcast is designed specifically for the general public to help dispel healthcare myths and help listeners make informed decisions about their healthcare. Your hosts are Dr. Andrew Junak PT, DPT, OCS and Dr. Craig Giambattista PT, DPT, OCS, two physical therapists who are Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialists. They are both passionate about helping people make better decisions about their health while avoiding opiates, injection or surgery. Dr. Junak is the owner of Peak Physiotherapy and Performance, a private practice in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Junak is determined to help active adults and athletes stay in the CrossFit box, continue playing sports and doing what they love while training during rehab. Dr. Giambattista is a traveling physical therapist seeking expertise in both research and clinical skills. His research interests include cognitive behavior training and the biopsychosocial model. Clinically he is interested in orthopedics, patient education, hands on intervention, and vestibular pathology. 

Dr. Andrew Junak is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist. Dr. Junak helps clients prevent injury, recover from injury, and improve performance.

• Founder and Owner of Peak Physiotherapy and Performance: At P3, we serve CrossFit Athletes, throughout Columbus and Central Ohio. At P3, we believe in keeping Crossfit Athletes training during their rehab process. Dr. Junak’s background as an Orthopaedic Specialist, as well as his own passion for CrossFit, makes him perfectly suited for understanding the unique needs of the Crossfit Athlete.
• Speaker: Dr. Junak hosts workshops in the Central Ohio and Columbus areas educating CrossFit Athletes on common CrossFit Injuries, mobility and stability exercises, injury prevention, and improving performance.
• Competitions: Dr. Junak can often be found providing free injury management at multiple Central Ohio CrossFit Competitions throughout the year, including Girls Gone Rx, Festivus, The Arnold Classic, and Winter Wod-Land.
• Board Certified and Residency Trained: Dr. Junak completed a year long, highly competitive, post-doctoral residency education with the Cleveland Clinic Orthopaedic and Sport Residency Program. During his time with the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Junak received focused training on the treatment and management of complex sports related injuries including rotator cuff tears, tendonitis, disc herniations, and muscle strains.
