Pain That Comes and Goes

Most of us experience pain at some point, but when it comes and goes in the same area, then it’s time to investigate. For example, lower back pain that comes and goes could be related to a number of things. It could be a stiff joint or a herniated disc. It could also be related to something happening with the soft tissue structures. If you have pain that comes and goes, download one of these free guides to learn more about your pain and how to self treat or manage it:

Pain That Occurs During Specific Activities

There are different types of joint pains. What about pain that gets worse during specific activities? Maybe you have a shoulder pain that doesn’t bother you until you work out at the gym. After your workout, the pain lessens again. This may be an example of tendinitis in the shoulder, which is often the result of a sports injury. When the tendons in the rotator cuff area become inflamed, your shoulder joint can hurt or become stiff, especially when you use it in certain ways. Tendinitis can be either chronic or acute pain. Other types of pathology, such as a sprain or a strain, are also examples of acute pain. If this sounds like you, please contact us, and we’ll help choose the right Free Guide above just for you.

Pain That is Constant or Worse After Exercise

There’s nothing more inhibiting to your exercise routine than constant or worsening pain! How often have you begun a workout already in some pain, and then, when you are doing a certain activity (squats, for example) your pain gets much worse? When your pain is more than just the good aches and pains from getting your body to a better place, please don’t ignore it! If your constant pain actually gets worse and lingers for 1-2 days after a workout, there could be a serious issue. It probably won’t go away without proper treatment and therapy. Contact us to schedule a free phone consultation. We want you to be active without the pain!

OKAY…. BUT HOW?!

As Physical Therapists, our job is to know and understand the biomechanics, pain producing motions, and subsequent treatment to orthopedic injuries. Our goal is always getting you back on track to crush your resolutions. That begins on day 1 with us, where we find the cause and start attacking it! Each subsequent session, we continually assess and reassess in order to make sure we help you progress towards your goals. We provide interventions, modifications, and supplemental activities so you can keep moving forward! We also thrive with questions! So, write them down on a piece of paper, notepad, or in your phone, and bring them with you.
